Mural Comission Process
Let’s make some magic.
-
Brainstorm
First, start off by telling me what your vision is and I will decide if it’s the right fit for my style and artistry and if we’re a good fit to work together.
Send me ALL your ideas! They go into my brain-soup until finished compositions float to the surface.
We will also discuss practical matters, like if the wall is inside or outside, will we need a scaffold, square footage, if there’s any texture or treatment to the wall already etc.
If everything lines up we’ll move to the contract stage.
-
Contract and Sketches
Once parameters are agreed on, contract is signed, and deposit is paid I’ll begin collecting reference shots and sketching the idea of the wall.
Per our agreement, you’ll be able to keep the drawings for marketing and business purposes, although I will retain the copyright and will be able to use them as well. The sketches are usually pretty polished, so it’s a nice way to enhance your brand with custom art.
-
Painting
The next payment is due when I begin painting. I typically like to paint late at night when I won’t disturb you and you won’t disturb me. My projector is also the clearest at night.
Depending on your project, we’ll decide the most practical time for me to paint.
Final payment is due upon mural completion.
